SECONDMENT ARRANGEMENT WITH NISHIMURA & ASAHI

Rahman’s Chambers secured a secondment arrangement with a major multinational Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi. The secondment program will offer selected lawyers the opportunity to work for six months at a multinational law firm in Japan. This is a unique opportunity to gain international experience, develop skills, and build relationships with lawyers from around the world. In addition to the opportunity to gain international experience, the secondment program also offers a handsome salary and full accommodation. We will be posting more news about the secondment program soon, including the name of the person who will be going to Japan for the first time.

Delegation for ICC’s Commission Meeting on 28 March 2023  

Mr. Mohammed Forrukh Rahman is appointed as a delegate of ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR in 2022 as nominated by ICC Bangladesh. This 100-year-old prestigious think tank provided the first draft of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards. (New York, 1958), commonly known as the New York Convention, which is ratified by 172 countries until 2023. It is considered as one of the most successful international treaties providing uniform enforcement mechanisms of arbitral awards globally. The commission works on developing and updating ICC arbitration rules.
In the Commission Meeting dated 28 March 2023 which took place in Paris around 300 Delegates joined in person from different countries of the world. Around the same number of delegates also joined virtually. Mr. Rahman also joined the meeting physically.
