Income Tax matter: Estimation of sell & rate of gross profit
Grameen Danone Foods Ltd Vs. Commissioner of Taxes reported in 6 CLR (HCD) (2018) 25. The Hon’ble Court observed that despite the assessee being a Bangladeshi company, the DCT estimated the sale as well as the rate of gross profit with that of a renowned multinational company registered in Bangladesh “which is not proper”.
Power & Energy: Gas Supply through dedicated line 150 psi 12- inch gas line
TM Textile and Garments Vs. Bangladesh reported in 6 CLR (HCD) (2018) 65. The issues involved were that of a legitimate expectation of the Petitioner to keep its gas line dedicated & exclusive, denying any access to any other party as the Petitioner spent a significant amount of money for its construction.

Chambers’ have represented London P & I Club & Ship-owner on very complex disputes involving damage of Bulk Cargo at the fault of Master and successfully reached out of court settlement leading towards the withdrawal of cases and release of Vessel for the benefit of our client.
Take over of OOCL Bangladesh

JV for 1320 Megawatt Coal Power Plant
Chambers’ have drafted Memorandum of Articles of a Joint Venture Company between Union Resources, China, Appolo Engineering and others for a 1320MW proposed coal power plant at Cox’s Bazaar.
