Mr. Md. Ashari Islam enhanced Chambers inhouse capacity since his joining. He works from Headquarters and contributes significantly in finalizing case theory, legal research, factual analysis and finally drafting pleadings. He has long working experience as in-house lawyer in different industries and business sectors. He also has practical knowledge and experience and strong ability in handling different kind of agreements involving commercial transactions. Mr. Md. Ashari Islam completed his LLB (Hon’s) from the University of London and Master of Laws in International Commercial Laws from the University of South Wales in 2016. Post -graduation, he has had hands-on experience working at a litigation-based law firm in Dhaka prior to joining the firm. Mr. Islam joined the Chambers in 2022. Mr. Islam is a member of Supreme Court team, and a member of the Commercial Department and Dispute Resolution Department.

Commercial
As part of the Firm’s Commercial Department, he has been involved in the following works:
- Acted for our client, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Ltd (DAE) a global aviation services company and one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in the world, headquartered in Dubai. We act for our client in terms of assisting in the Registration and De-registration of 06 (six) different aircraft leased to US – Bangla Airlines Ltd & Astra Airways Limited (Air Astra). We have sent the Request for Acknowledgement Letters to our client for signing.
- Recently provided a Legal opinion to our Client on the Merit, consequences and Way Forward relating to the dispute raised due to the Energypac’s failure to cooperate with L&T and also failure to fulfill its own responsibility for completing the PGCB’s project.
- Assisted our Client Bengal Fisheries by preparing a Deed of Agreement of Sale or Purchase a sunk fishing Vessel named M.V. BANDHAN.
- Provided a Legal opinion in terms of Boiler import and installment sale to our client MIURA INDUSTRIES (THAILAND) CO., LTD. a group company of a Japanese leading manufacturer of once-through boilers.
- We have recently act for our client ABC International Bank plc, a subsidiary of Arab Banking Corporation (B.S.C.), on a due diligence exercise regarding assignments of book debts and guarantees from a Bangladeshi legal perspective.
- Cases involving documentary fraud on behalf of a number o clients involving the supply of defective fabrics, raw material of RMG, LC payment etc in lower court and also higher court.
- Drafting of pleadings involving a number of civil revision involving payment under sales contract/proforma invoice/LC related disputes/
- Drafting of local Arbitration pleadings involving payment under sales contract/proforma invoice/LC related disputes.
- Advised a number of companies in drafting commercial lease agreement for several years and advised a few of them in registering the same.
As a member of Supreme Court team, he often involves in drafting pleadings of Writs, quashment, revision/appeal etc. As a team member he was involved in the below matters:

As part of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Department, he has been involved in the following works:
- Recently act on behalf of our client Miles GMBH a company incorporated in Germany a leading logistics services provider specializing in key verticals of footwear, apparel, etc. Due to the non-payment of the debit by Ettade Jeans we have filed a winding up application to the Hon’ble High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and following the hearing, the Hon’ble Court admitted the application and instructed us to publish a notice in two daily local newspapers: Daily Manab Zamin (Bengali) and New Age (English).
- Proceeding under Foods Safety Act 2013 brought before special magistrate court by filing quashment proceedings before Hon’ble High Court Division against KB Foods Ltd of Khan Bahadur Group.
- Challenging the order of RAJUK involving a commercial building located in Banani.
- His notable most recent works includes supervising, advising, conducting legal research and finalizing pleasing and case theory involving a LC payment related disputes for Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterp PTE Ltd, a concern of Adita Birla group.
