Transportation law covers most aspects of travel, carriage and commerce on the streets and highways, railways, in the air, [and on the water, covered under our shipping department] including regulation of vehicles, carrier’s liability, implementation of safety standards and oversight of activity.   • We acted for our client a global aviation services company and one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in the world, headquartered in Dubai in terms of assisting in the Registration and De-registration of 06 (six) different aircraft leased to US – Bangla Airlines Ltd & Astra Airways Limited (Air Astra).  
  • Conducted DD and assisted client with local regulation involving registration and de-registration.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Return of Equipment 

  • Successfully filed a petition against an local Airline for a engine manufacturer & supplier for locating an leased engine and facilitating its return and also recovering dues arising from lease.

Recovery of dues

  • Advised client on recovering outstanding dues involving supply of aeronautical parts and equipment against two major local airlines in Bangladesh.
  • We handled litigation against GMG Airline Ltd, for recovery of service due.
  • We advised an US-based foreign equipment supplier on several legal issues against Bangladesh Biman.

Passenger/Crew 

  • We have advised individual passenger over disputes involving loss and damages arising from unlawful boarding refusal.

RAILWAYS 

  • We advised an Indonesian company on railways signaling work involving Ruppore Atomic Power Station.

  • We advised a multinational automotive group on establishing an automotive warehouse and showroom.

Aviation Finance 

Aviation Financing includes all forms of aviation finance and leasing transactions, whether involving commercial aircraft or corporate air carriers (generally helicopters in Bangladesh context).

Bangladesh boasts the third-largest automotive industry in South Asia.
