Dhaka pins high hope on Dubai Expo

 In the upcoming October, Bangladesh will showcase its 50 years of achievements at an international expo in Dubai. The expo is open to the world. This information has been acquired from the Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at a press briefing in the secretariat.

The ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’ has been scheduled to start on 1 October for the next six-month. In this expo, the country’s achievements in various sectors, products, concept innovations, national brand, tourism and history will be highlighted.

Besides, one of our national commerce, leather sector would display their leather and goods acquired from the leather such as bags, belt, shoe, jacket etc at the international event which can create an immense possibility of foreign investment.

Not only this, there will be special events on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, Victory day on December 16, International Mother Language Day on February 21, International Women’s Day on March 8, according to the statement of the respectable Commerce Minister.

The six-month-long expo will continue till the next year  March 31st with the expected 25 million visitors. In this huge number of visitors, the Victory day will be observed as the ‘Country day’. Not only that, the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will also be celebrated on March 17, 2022.

In this expo, different government and private agencies will also take part.

The United Arab Emirates Is going to host the event with the theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the future’ and sub-theme-‘Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
