WEBINAR ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LAW

The four pillars of Digital Bangladesh are Human Resource Development, Connecting Citizens, Digital Government, and Promotion of ICT Industry.  The third pillar involves the construction of digital portals & providing e-Services etc. The fourth pillar involves providing several IT services –financial services, call centers, healthcare, etc involving the management of large amounts of data.
Information Technology is now an integral part of our life. There are unique regulatory compliance within each jurisdiction and distinct reporting obligations. So much data is placed in the electronic format by each company/individual that often a tailor-made agreement is essential for each transaction to avoid various potential risks.
Information technology lawyers are engaged in transaction-based legal services involving drafting and negotiating agreements. Due to the increase of cyber-crime and hacking with the help of computers or mobile phones involving money and also infringement of privacy, confidentiality, and other rights, imposition of penalty and commencing legal proceedings for infringement are now a common affair. Information Technology lawyers are busy advising clients on regulatory issues involving information technology, data security, and domestic and international privacy regulations, directives, and standards.
The legal services are often required for filing and defending cases filed in the cyber tribunal located in Judge Court and Cyber Appellate Tribunal in Bangladesh.
Join the event to enhance your knowledge and make yourself aware of the current information technology law issues. The webinar will be conducted mostly by the members of our Information Technology Department and ADR, Land & Tribunal Team. We will discuss and analyze the current information technology law issues.
